Oakwood Theme Park

Celtic Quest Coasteering were invited to Oakwood Theme Park to check out the new Neverland area (and the rest of the park of course).
Armed with our GoPro helmet cams, we jumped at the chance!

A stunning blue sky day, mid week so the park wasn’t too busy….eager to see the new area first, we headed up to Neverland.
Loads of things for small children to see and do. That said, us big kids thoroughly enjoyed Tinks flying school and Skull Rock is brilliant, especially for families with kids too small for Drenched….genius!!

Next – well it had to be Speed, that first drop is epic! ‘Safety Will likened the looping to a back flip from our top coasteering jump.

We were booked in for the 2.15pm flight on vertigo so spent a couple of hours mooching about the park. Loved the old school bone shaking awesomeness that is Mega Fobia. Waterfall – we tried to get ‘Safety Will to lean back (fall off) but he was having none of it!

Treetops Coaster – I remember spending far too long on this one as a child, again again again! Wicked coaster for children too small to ride the big five.

Bobsleigh…all i can say is BRAKES boys!!!

Snake River Falls…wet bum but awesome fun, lights in the tunnels totally throw your orientation…no idea which way its going to twist and turn…BRILLIANT!

Pit stop for lunch – not wanting the fast food burger style food we headed back up to Neverland having spotted the cafe. Tasty toasted panini and a cheeky beer, all reasonably priced too 🙂

Top of our list is definitely Vertigo – skydiving meets giant swing! Harness on, get hitched up and winched way up in the air, then pull tab and FLY!!

Last on our hit list was Drenched – an obvious favourite due to its aquatic nature….another big drop with an awesome wave at the bottom….again again again!
Oh and standing on the bridge at the bottom is pretty damp too 😀
