The European Business Awards has identified some of Europe’s brightest businesses based on their ability to demonstrate the three core principles at the heart of the Awards programme. The esteemed panel of judges were looking for organisations to represent UK who exhibited the highest levels of innovation, business excellence and sustainability.
Cleopatra Browne, Owner/MD of Celtic Quest Coasteering Ltd said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to be selected to represent the UK. We’ve been operating for over 4 years in the Adventure Tourism Industry and it’s an honour to be recognised as one of the leading organisations in our country and in our field. The European Business Awards is widely recognised as the showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies. #LoveMyJob”
The European Business Awards is dedicated to raising the visibility and progress of companies who excel in delivering innovation twinned with successful commercial results whilst acting responsibly and positively affecting the social environment they operate in. Last year’s competition saw entries from organisations with a combined turnover greater of over €1 trillion Euros across the 28 EU countries plus emerging nations (8.23% of EU GDP including Turkey, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan). Together these businesses employ over 2.7 million people across the continent.
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says, “Over the past seven years we’ve received an incredibly high standard of entries from organisations that are passionate about their business. However, very few get the chance to fly the flag for their country and compete across Europe to be recognised as one of Europe’s finest. It really is an exceptional accolade to be picked as a National Champion and together with our sponsors and supporters we’re looking forward to seeing UK in the next round.”
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM adds, “Celtic Quest Coasteering Ltd and the 50 other National Champions have yet again raised the bar for dynamic, inspiring and quality businesses across Europe. We wish them every success for the next stage of the competition, which this year includes an exciting two-phase video voting round.”
To advance in the competition this year, all National Champions have to submit a video entry for viewing and assessment by a judging panel. In addition, the public will also be able to vote online for their favourite National Champion from each country, these companies become ‘National Public Champions’ and one will go on to be ‘European Public Champion’. Voting begins in November 2013.
