Well that was an adventure!
We had the great pleasure of being finalists at the CIM Wales Marketing Awards 2016.
Weather was lovely throughout, easy drive up.
St Davids Hotel in Cardiff Bay, always a favourite choice, were awesome as ever. Sorted us out with a tasty afternoon tea, cakes etc. Tested the spa facilities (fantastic by the way). Couple of hours to relax and get ready then we hit the town.
The awards evening was held at Portland House, a great venue. Drinks reception and a spot of networking with marketing folk before heading into moody blue lighting of the main hall.
The evening started with a mannequin challenge, which we nailed of course!
Sharing table 10 with the team from Social Change and Rockadove, we had a fab evening of wine and tasty food. While we didn’t win our category – Best Use of Creative (congrats to winners Dwr Cymru), we did walk away with a bottle of bubbly. Our festive pic having won the selfie competition.
Returning to the hotel, elves were hard at work putting together a giant Christmas tree in the foyer. A cheeky glass or two in the hotel bar before calling it a night.
Cardiff you were fab, we’ll be back!!
