Ironman Wales - Pembrokeshire
The race will be based in Tenby on Sunday September 11th 2011. 50 qualifying slots are allocated for the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii 2012.
The race starts at Tenby South Beach with a 3.8km swim in Carmarthen Bay, consisting of two loops out towards Caldy Island.
Stage two takes the athletes on a 180km bike course through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The two loop course runs from Tenby out along the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline to Angle, doubles back over to Narberth before finishing in Tenby.
Finally, the first ever Ironman Wales marathon course running in and around Tenby town. The course consists of four 10 kilometre loops out towards Penally and back, finishing with a 2.2kilometre run up to Tenby Esplanade.
