You choose, all adventures are tailored to your needs and abilities.
If you don'tfancy the big cliff jumps or rough water features, simply float or traverse around them.
Most clients opt for a mixture of sea safari delights and just enough challenges to get the adrenaline flowing.
Wetsuited up, plus buoyancy aid, helmet and trainers you will see the coast from a whole new dimension while adventure swimming, rock hopping and cliff jumping. Coasteering is inspirational, whether a boiling turmoil of water and rocks or a calm glassy sea.
Coasteering is ideal for a variety of groups, as it not only challenges the individual but can facilitate teamwork, trust and leadership training. Our product is ideal for families, Corporate away days, anniversary/birthday celebrations, clubs and stag do weekends or hen parties.
The minimum age for Coasteering participants is 8 years old.
The oldest (so far) was a 72 year old gentleman.
No, we encourage weak and non-swimmers to take part. The buoyancy aid's and wetsuit's are super floaty. All aspects of the session are optional, if you don't fancy the rough water features or big jumps, simply float or traverse around them. It's all about challenging yourself to experience the best of what the Pembrokeshire coast has to offer. That said, there's also plenty of action out there for the strong swimmer!
You'll need to bring swimwear, a towel, an old pair of trainers (to get wet) and a pair of old shorts.
We will provide all adventure equipment including wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet.
If its a bit chilly we've also got wetsuit gloves, hood and socks.
Coasteering is usually a half-day adventure activity.
We meet you at the beach at either 9.30am or 2pm.
No, Celtic Quest guides take a digital camera on every session, capturing videos and photos as your adventure unfolds.
These are available to purchase on flash drive at the end of the session.
Inclement weather (rain, wind etc) doesn't affect coaststeering much as you're going to get wet anyway. Sea conditions can sometimes dictate where we coaststeer. Even in the roughest weather/sea we have a couple of sheltered locations at our disposal.
We hold public liability insurance up to £5 million and are happy to provide a copy of our certificate should you need one.
Bookings with Celtic Quest DO NOT include personal travel or accident insurance.
Please ask your insurer for details of the necessary cover for taking part in Coasteering.
Yes, we offer one session per day in winter months, from 1st November to 28th February (excluding christmas week).
It is colder out there in the winter months, so coasteering activities are modified to suit the sea & weather conditions.
We supply 5/4mm thick wetsuits, socks, hoods and gloves to ward off the Welsh winter chill.
"So you get up in the morning on your holiday and make your way down to the beach for a quick dip followed by a scramble up onto and along some rocks and then hurl yourself back into the sea. Repeat this process several times from ever increasing heights, maybe take in the thrills of being flushed in the toilet or tossed around in a washing machine and there you have it, coasteering. I can’t think of many better ways of spending my time. Thanks to Cleo our guide and the rest of the Celtic Quest team for a fantastic morning."
